Career Highlights    

During the 2006 season, Hanson made select appearances in the
ASALMS Challenge Division driving for Mike Butz Racing. In limited
appearances, Hanson made the most of them with a 10th Place finish
in the Labor Day 200 Presented by Trackside Charities on September
3, 2006 and then an impressive ninth place showing in the 2006
ASALMS Challenge Division Season Championships; the Northland
Oil 250 Presented by TMC Transportation on October 14, 2006 at the
Iowa (IA) Speedway.

Hanson also made one appearance in the ASALMS Northern Division
and won the GM Performance Parts Shootout at the LaCrosse (WI)
Fairgrounds Speedway during the 37th annual Oktoberfest
Weekend. Hanson then started 27th out of 28 cars in the 100-lap
Feature and came through the pack with an impressive eighth place
finish earning the Hard-Charger Award for the Oktoberfest 100
Presented by Peterbuilt of LaCrosse. Also during the 2006 campaign,
Hanson participated in the entire season at I-94 (MN) Raceway. He
won four races including the $4,000 to win July Spectacular 100, as
well as the prestigious Governors 100. With consistency week in
and out, the now 18-year-old Andy managed to walk away with the
Track Championship, making him the youngest ever I-94 Super Late
Model Track Champion.

Hanson began his career in 2000 racing Quarter Midgets at Elko
(MN) Speedway at age 11. He rapidly advanced through the different
classes and finished the year driving two different classes. In 2001
he raced in three different classes of Quarter Midgets. Competed in
the Gasoline Alley Nationals at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,
qualifying for two out of three A-Main events. Won the Shootout
Series Championships in two classes.

In 2002 he again raced in three different classes of Quarter Midgets
and Competed in the Eastern Grand National event at Topeka,
Kansas, and the Western Grand National event in Pueblo, Colorado,
finishing fourth and sixth in the two A-Mains he qualified for. Also
raced in the Karts. Won his first ever race on dirt in an oval
speedway Kart, and won in his fifth start in a road racing Sprint Kart.
Also in 2002, he finished the season racing a Legends Car, finishing
fourth at the Fall Nationals at his home track of the I-94 Raceway in
Sauk Centre, Minnesota at 13 years old.

The 2003 season was his first full year in a Legends Car. He
competed in races on dirt and asphalt in five states and won the
Season Championship at Fergus Falls (MN) Raceway and finished
fourth in points at I-94 and Won Rookie of the Year at both Fergus
Falls and I-94. He also won the Great North Legends Semi-Pro
Championship and Rookie of the Year honors that season as well.
Andy also competed at the Legend Car Nationals in Kenly, North
Carolina. finishing third in the A-Main. His debut in a Super Late
Model was the Fall Festival at I-94 Raceway, where Hanson became
the youngest ever winner of a MARS event at 14 years old, winning
the B-Main to advance to the 100 lap A-Main event, where he
finished 13th, last car on the lead lap. Andy also raced in the
Legends Car the same day finishing fourth.

The 2004 season saw Hanson make the move up to full bodied
Super Late Models full time at I-94 and Fergus Falls where he
finished second in season points at Fergus Falls and won Rookie of
the Year title while also finishing fourth in points at I-94 Speedway,
as well as second in rookie of the year standings. Qualified in Top
Five, 13 of 19 attempts and won three Feature races at Fergus Falls.
Also set new one lap track record in qualifying for a MARS Series
race, becoming the youngest driver in MARS history to set fast time
at 15 years old. Finished sixth in the race. Finished seventh in MARS
race at I-94 the next day. In 2005, Hanson finished fourth overall in
first full season of the Midwest All-Star Racing Series with one win
in the now defunct series.

For the 2007 season, Hanson will drive full-time for Mike Butz
Racing with hopes of capturing the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of
the Year title in the ASALMS Challenge Division. Hanson will also
make select appearances in the ASALMS Northern Division.
